Events

Summer Screening events take place in the fall each year and provide new enrollees with the necessary health screenings (which include Hearing and Vision testing, Hemoglobin and Lead testing, Dental exams, and resources) . These screenings are provided by our collaborative partners (Wayne Health Mobile, Covenant Dental and the Health Department).

You may qualify for a free monthly box of food through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program. 

The event serves Detroit Training Center graduates, many from low-income backgrounds, by helping them kick-start their careers through job connections, networking, and access to resources like housing and financial support. It empowers individuals to build stability and strengthens communities across Wayne County.  Wayne Metro will have a resource table at this event.

The goal for hosting a Youth Job and Resource Fair is to help young people find jobs, access career resources, and connect with community support. It links youth with local employers, training programs, and helpful services to build skills and gain work experience.
