Tyler & His Moving Service Help Community Members "Beat the Bailiff"

“The best part of my job is making sure customers are happy and comfortable. I don’t want them to feel rushed and I want them to have great customer service. The best of the best.”

Tyler Gipson has operated his moving business, TDG Moving Services, LLC., for over a year. However, Tyler is an experienced mover that has helped people move since he was 12 years old. His skill and ability to move people quickly and efficiently have made him a valued partner for Wayne Metro, an organization that Tyler has deep ties to.

“My mom, Sheilyn, worked for Wayne Metro for around two to three years. Julie (Ratekin), one of my mom’s old co-workers, gave my information to Rosie (Jones) and that began my partnership with Wayne Metro.”

Tyler prides himself on efficiently moving clients, making sure they are receiving quality customer service.

Tyler’s work ethic and client-centered approach to moving and “beating the bailiff” has not gone unnoticed among Wayne Metro staff. Michele Robinson, Executive Director, Program Operations, was a member of #TeamWayneMetro that appreciated everything he did for clients.

“Tyler’s mom used to be a Wayne Metro employee so he is familiar with Wayne Metro’s mission and vision. He takes great care of our clients. We started utilizing TDG Moving Services in October 2020. We reached out because we needed an emergency relocation of two families who were moving into our Freedom Village units.“

Tyler moved items out of units impacted by the June flood, as well as evicted clients’ furniture and belongings, on short notice, this summer. Another recent example of his efforts was relocating a client who was set to be evicted in mid-August. The court officer (bailiff) was scheduled to arrive at 10 AM, and the client was unable to extend their stay in the unit. Tyler’s services were secured by Wayne Metro late in the afternoon the day before the client needed to leave the unit. Tyler and his team arrived at 8 AM to assist the client prior to the arrival of the bailiff, allowing the client to move with dignity.
