Wayne Metro’s Summer Food Service Program, known as Meet Up And Eat Up and including the Snack Wagon, runs June through August and is aimed at increasing food access to low-income communities during the summer months in which children aren’t receiving their typical school lunches.

  • Available to any child under the age of 18 within Wayne Metro’s Food Service areas

Wayne Metro Community Action Agency (Sponsor) seeks bid solicitations from qualified vendors to provide Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) vended meals at sites in Out-Wayne County June-August 2020.

Please see additional attached documents for further guidance and information, including specific locations listed on Schedule A SFSP Center listings.

Bid Submission and Award

  • Price quotes are to be submitted to Julia Kaye via email at jkaye@waynemetro.org
  • Price quotes will not be accepted after 4:00 PM on Monday, April, 27, 2020
  • Provide one (1) electronic copy of the proposal to the Sponsor (Wayne Metro CAA)
  • Proposal should include the following in PDF format:

    – Proposal including signed Agreement Page signed by Bidder (see Vended RFQ)
    – Bid Sheet-SFSP Food Service Contract (see Info Section, Excel Doc)
    – Vendor Sample Cycle Menus Meeting SFSP Meal Pattern Requirements – Breakfast and Lunch
    – Current health/sanitation permit or satisfactory report of inspection conducted by local authorities

Sponsor will submit a copy of the full proposal from its selected Bidder to MDE during the contract approval process. Blank SFSP Certification sheets are provided as reference and will only be submitted by selected vendor to Wayne Metro following MDE approval. Wayne Metro reserves the right to exercise its discretion to reject any or all bids.
