Notice of Public Comment Period on Proposed Fiscal Year 2021 Community Services Block Grant Plan


Detroit, MI – Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency (Wayne Metro) will accept public comments as required by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Service CSBG State Plan for Grant No: CSBG-21-82030 (Grant 21 Year 1) on the proposed Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) plan from 8:30 AM August 11, 2020 until 4:30 PM on August 31, 2020.

The CSBG plan summary is as follows:

A total of $7,996,292 will be allocated for the provision of a comprehensive and coordinated plan for the delivery of services to eligible low-income persons in Wayne County, Michigan, including but not limited to homeless prevention, emergency utility and water assistance, minor home repair, food assistance, security, health and wellness, family literacy, youth after-school and summer enrichment services, youth and adult employment and education supports, community and economic development, and financial asset building services for the contract period of October 1, 2020 until September 30, 2021.
