The Out-Wayne County Homeless Services Coalition is hosting an entire week of events for Homeless Awareness Week 2015 in Out Wayne County.
Each year Homeless Awareness Week is held the week before the Thanksgiving holiday to bring awareness to the issue of homelessness and the plight of those who are experiencing homelessness, including families and children.
The coalition of more than 25 agencies works together to provide emergency shelter and supports to victims of domestic violence, veterans with families, and unaccompanied minors. Through coordinated efforts and shared service agreements, this group provides services ranging from emergency shelter, rapid rehousing, education supports, employment and training services, transportation, after school and summer programing and more for Out-Wayne County’s neediest citizens
