Notice of Public Comment Period on Proposed Fiscal Year 2020 Community Services Block Grant Plan
Wayne Metro adds Five Head Start Sites, Actively Hiring Early Childhood Educators

Detroit, MI – Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency (Wayne Metro) will accept public comments as required by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Service CSBG State Plan for Grant No: CSBG-14-82030 (Grant 20) on the proposed Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) plan from 8:30 AM August 5, 2019 until 4:30 PM on August 30, 2019.

The CSBG plan summary is as follows:

A total of $7,848,736 will be allocated for the provision of homeless prevention, emergency utility and water assistance, minor home repair, food asset and security, health and wellness, family literacy, youth after-school and summer enrichment services, youth and adult employment and education supports, community and economic development, and financial asset building services to eligible low-income individuals and families in Wayne County, Michigan communities for the contract period of October 1, 2019 until September 30, 2020.
