Featured Programs
Adult Education
The LEAPS adult education program is a whole-family literacy program offered to income-eligible parents and their children, ages 6 months to 8 years. The LEAPS program will help you to help your child by strengthening your own literacy skills and providing you with positive parenting and guidance tools so you can inspire your child to be a great learner and to grow in every way.
CDA Apprenticeship Program
Our LEAP to Teach program offers the opportunity to become an Early Childhood Education Professional by completing 120 hours of free, on-site training toward a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and earning a stipend while working in an early childhood setting. Once you complete the program, you are on your way to becoming an Early Childhood Education Professional.
Financial Education
Wayne Metro is committed to helping you and your family better understand and manage your finances. We offer services and resources such as the Financial Empowerment Center (FEC), which offers free, one-on-one financial counseling to Wayne County residents. Other services include free tax preparation and Wayne Metro’s Homebuyer Club, which prepares homebuyers to participate in a down payment assistance program.
