Featured Programs
Head Start & Early Head Start
Head Start is a preschool program for income-eligible families with children between the ages of 3 and 5. Our Head Start classrooms provide a safe and supportive environment for your children to learn, grow, and develop before beginning their traditional schooling. Early Head Start offers services to expecting mothers and children up to 3 years old. These services include complete health and mental health services, educational home-visits, and introduction to additional resources.
After School & Summer Programs
Our After School programs are offered to youth in grades K-12 throughout Wayne County, providing them a safe space to continue learning, playing, and socializing after the school day comes to an end. Program benefits include help with homework, healthy snacks, educational activities and trips, family engagement and more.
Family Resources
Wayne Metro offers many Healthy Family Resources such as free safety seats and diapers through our Community Diaper Bank. We also collaborate with local organizations to host semi-annual Community Baby Showers, in which parents and families are given information and gifts that help them be more caring, informed, and attentive.
