Connecting Through The Arts – Session I
May 2-27, 2022

Acting for Beginners, with Indigo Colbert • Ages 10-12, Monday & Wednesday, 5:00 pm-5:45 pm ET
Students will learn projection, articulation, text comprehension, and character development.

The Magic of Storytelling, with Candace Fleming, MBA • Ages 8-10, Tuesday & Thursday, 4:00 pm-4:45 pm ET
This class focuses on interactive activities to help students find their unique voice for telling stories and learn to connect with their audience.

Art, Kids & Big Ideas, with Robin McDaniel, MEd • Ages, 10-12, Tuesday & Thursday, 6:00 pm -6:45 pm ET
Students will create vision boards using drawings, paintings, and magazine clippings to represent a positive future for themselves.

Painting & Drawing, with Illya Tolbert, MEd • Ages 9-11, Monday & Wednesday, 5:00 pm-5:45 pm ET
Students will learn the fundamental skills of realistic and abstract painting and drawing.

Creative Writing Made Fun, with Terrea Hall, MEd • Ages 8-10, Tuesday & Thursday, 5:00 pm-5:45:pm ET
Students will learn to write stories with strong characters and good plots while building vocabulary and strengthening communication skills.

Graphic Design for Kids, with Ciondra Brown, BA • Ages 10-13, Monday & Wednesday, 6:00 pm-6:45 pm ET
Students will learn to create book covers, posters, memes, Facebook & Instagram posts, and more using colors, shapes, and computer images.
