16th Annual Walk for Warmth – Saturday, March 3, 2012
Wayne Metro will be hosting our 16th Annual Walk for Warmth on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 9:00 am -12:00 pm at Westland Shopping Center
(35000 W. Warren) in Westland. The event is Wayne Metro’s only fundraiser and funds raised go to support families in need of emergency
utility assistance. The demand for this assistance is at an all-time high this year and hundreds of walkers will join in the effort to raise funds, promote
awareness and have a great time!

Start a Team!
Walk for Warmth teams consist of at least 5 members. Awards will be given to both Adult and Youth Teams with the Highest Amount of Pledges, Most Walkers, Best Team Spirit and Best Team Name. Teams can pre-register for the event with the Team Registration Form. Pre-registration is encouraged for fast check-in, however it's not required.
Start Raising Pledges Today!
Walkers can start raising pledges now! Just print off the 2012 Pledge Form and start asking friends, family, neighbors or co-workers for their support to help you reach your fundaising goal! Walkers can also raise money online at www.firstgiving.com/waynemetro, just click on the "Start Fundraising" tab and create your our page with your own fundraising message. It's that simple!
Eat at Olga's and Support the Walk:
The Olga's Restaurant at Westland Shopping Center will be doing a fundraiser to help support the Walk for Warmth all day on Saturday, March 3. 2012. The restaurant will donate a percentage of dine in and carry out bills when customers present this flyer. Enjoy some great food and support the Walk at the same time!
