Wayne Metro Head Start Children Receive New Shoes for the Winter

Payless Shoes awarded Wayne Metro with 150 vouchers for a new pair of children's shoes in December as part of their Shoes for Kids Program. Children and families in Wayne Metro's Head Start Program received a voucher for a pair of new shoes.

Kaitlyn Lopacki of Harper Woods was one of the children that received a new pair of shoes. Kaitlyn picked out a brand new pair of boots so she can enjoy all of her favorite winter activities, making snowmen, sledding and making snow angels (on her belly of course!)!

Kaitlyn is 3 and a half years old and like mnay kids her age, growing quickly. “The gift certificate from Payless was a big help for families, especially because it allowed us to not only buy her a new pair of boots for Kaitlyn, but she also got to help pick out a pair of boots that she loves wants to wear” said her mom Renee.

Kaitlyn and her mom, Renee are very thankful to Payless for Kaitlyn's new pair of winter boots!

Payless' Shoes for Kids Program distributed $1.2 million in new shoes to 750 nonprofit organizations across the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Latin American countries.
