2008 Walk for Warmth

In Partnership with

Saturday, March 1, 2008

9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Southland Mall in Taylor

In 2007, Wayne-Metro was able to help thousands of people during their energy crisis, but hundreds more were turned away when funds ran out.  Low-income families spend one of every $5 they earn to heat their homes during the winter months.  Many will struggle.

You can help!

Join us as for this one-of-a-kind event that raises funds to assist Out-Wayne County residents facing heat related emergencies.

Last year with the help of concerned businesses, community organizations and area residents, the event raised over $40,000.  Matching funds from the Michigan Community Action Agency Association and the Heat and Warmth Fund (T.H.A.W) increased that total and helped children, families, and seniors during their greatest time of need.
