Hundreds Visit Wayne Metro's Headquarters

Community residents & partners learn more about agency

Hundreds of community partners and residents visited and toured the Wyandotte offices of Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency during an Open House on February 5, 2009.

Wayne Metro recently purchased the building located at 2121 Biddle in Wyandotte. The purchase allowed the agency to close the Main Service Office in Ecorse and move it to the 2nd floor of the Wyandotte office.

“We are extremely pleased with the move and new location” said Wayne Metro CEO, Louis Piszker. “It has given our staff and clients the space and resources needed for programs to thrive, as well as providing a centrally located office in the downriver area.”

The new space offers a large meeting room for trainings, support groups and classes. A computer lab is available for clients in the agency’s Employment and Training Programs and for Tax Preparation Services. In addition, four small meeting rooms are also available for one-on-one meetings.

Wayne Metro has 16 offices located throughout Wayne County, making programs and services available to the 42 communities in Out-Wayne County. Wayne Metro proudly provides over 40 programs and services to support individuals and families striving to become self-sufficient.
